Matwork Classses, 1:1's or Reformer

Matwork classes last for one hour, they have a maximum of 8 people per class. This ensures that you are exercising safely and effectively and enables me to give individual attention to everybody which speeds progression significantly. Exercises are performed on a mat where the body works against gravity.  Classes are friendly and fun and everyone is encouraged to work at their own level.

1:1’s are ideal if you have any injuries or if you wish to progress more quickly. 2:1’s if classes are not for you but you prefer to come with a friend.

The Reformer is the key piece of resistance equipment used in Pilates exercise. It is a remarkable piece of apparatus with a sophisticated system of springs and pulleys which helps clients establish stability and postural alignment. More than 100 exercises can be performed on this incredibly versatile apparatus, it provides an effective no-impact workout which is friendly to the joints so it benefits a wide variety of people, from those rehabilitating from injury to those simply looking for a more challenging workout. Specific exercises are chosen to suit each clients particular needs. Alignment, stability, strength and postural improvements can be dramatic.

The Reformer is only used on a 1:1 basis, a typical lesson will usually use a combination of Matwork and Reformer exercises but this will depend on your individual needs.

Whether joining a class or having 1:1 or lessons  I aim to adapt the exercises to meet your needs, teach you to move more freely, to get stronger and more supple and protect yourself from injury.
